Top 10 Intervention Resources

Table of Contents

The first quarter of school is ending and this time of year is prime time for researching intervention resources. The first quarter of every school year is a time of learning for the student and the teachers. Teachers take the first quarter to learn everything they can about their students. The variety of information that teachers learn is extensive. Everything from student interests, to current levels of education, to family issues, to discipline needs.

By the end of the first quarter, teachers have learned as much as they can about their students and the second quarter is usually a time for the beginning of interventions. Baselines have been obtained, needs have been identified, and now teachers must address the needs of the child. Student needs are vast. Teachers need intervention resources that are research-based and broad in scope.

The intervention resources that are shared in this article meet that description. Another issue that teachers run into is the fact that some students need more than reading and math interventions. Behavior interventions are also necessary. This list includes one of the most useful behavioral intervention resources that can be found on the internet.

ReadTheory

Grade Levels: 1-12

Website: readtheory.org/

Description:

ReadTheory focuses on reading comprehension. It uses adaptive AI to help determine a student’s level and then assigns them passages that are perfectly tailored to their abilities. Each passage is assigned and graded automatically in their system. As students begin to show improvement, they’re presented with slightly more difficult passages. If they begin to struggle, the program will provide slightly easier passages to boost their confidence until they show that they’re once again ready for a challenge. In this way, ReadTheory works in tandem with educators: providing just the right balance of challenge and support.

Even better, it is a free resource that is very user-friendly.
