Ecosystems: Interactions, Energy, & Dynamics Grades 3-5 (Teacher Pack)

Science addresses questions about the natural and material world. In this unit, we will be exploring these connections in more depth. We will examine how forces interact with and disrupt nature. This unit includes a 15-day plan, activities, labs, and rubrics. In addition to the CCSS & NGSS standards listed, it covers ISTE standards 1.1-1.7. This is a very thorough unit on ecosystems and the forces of nature that have an effect on all organisms in an ecosystem. As a culminating activity, the students will create an online game to demonstrate the interconnection of organisms in an ecosystem. Screen-free options are available for the culminating activity.
